How We Began

A small group of Christians in North Carolina started LFI as a humble way to thank God and the people/country of Nigeria for the great African priests that had served their churches over the years. As these Christians got to know and love these African priests (thus, know Jesus better and closer), they became more aware of the poor conditions, poverty, inflation, lack of trade schools and skills training, etc. (saw and experienced Jesus) and they wanted to help financially and otherwise (ie. giving from their blessings & gifts from God to the poor of Nigeria -because they are convinced that Jesus is REAL!).

The Goal

Help poor young Nigerians better come to know Jesus and that He is REAL -as they train and develop a skill set in fashion design, tailoring, and seamstress work that will allow them to earn a living for themselves and their family. As LFI students graduate and provide for themselves and their families, they will come back to inspire and teach the next group of upcoming LFI students and eventually (with the help of the Holy Spirit = the most powerful force in the universe!) miraculously change the economic development of their region.

EVERY DOLLAR (100%) of your gift or donation to LFI goes directly to the poor in Nigeria to provide:

facilities to house LFI, along with worship space
Bibles for each student
new sewing machines for each LFI graduate
fuel & maintenance for small shuttle bus transportation for the poor that wouldn't otherwise be able to attend training at LFI
rice meals for the students while learning, training, gaining experience at LFI
pay for excellent and experienced fashion design, seamstress, tailoring experts in Nigeria to teach and train the students.
